FREE PIZZA AND BEER ( well not really free)

call out for help, my upholstry has arrived, I need help installing headliner/seats/and carpet....if anyone can help this weekend it would be greatly appreciated-----free pizza and beer . Not sure if it can all be done in a day so I'd like to start Saturday morning.

Heat gun. Works great.
Headliner is finished. Turned out pretty nice too!

I like sucken it down with a shop vac and a bag, makes putting the cover on easyer ,no fighting it. works great on couch & chair cushens also

the seats are done , thanks to ray ( many many thanks) headliner and carpet are left.....I have to make a run up to milton sunday from 10:30 am till I get back( don't know how long it will take)so call first if anyone was going to come by 974-1984

put a garbage bag over the seat backs and glue it down . The covers slide right over it. You'll need the windshield, quarters and back window out to do the headliner. You knew that...
headliner isn't hard with a heat gun and a ton of clips to hold it in place while the glue dries. early beetles are even easier since you don't need to pull the windshield. Try to get some cardboard about the thickness of an album cover for the area near the doors...there is a little trick that makes that area easier and uniform. Did you get the one piece headliner or the original style?

I 've done the back seat and the bottom of the passenger seat, I'm waiting for the vinyl to stretch so I can finish the back rest. It's not very easy since I'm reusing the old foam and adding in the new stuff. Once I finish the seats I can pop out the windows and start on the headliner, the carpet should be a no brainer but I'm saving that for last. I'll still need any help I can get with the headliner and any odds and ends

I did attempt to do my head liner but ,the adhesive wasent goodenough & it,s hard to do by your self.especialy with addhesive that wont hold. im gladd I took it & paid it still looks great
