So I started doing some research on Van Gogh today. He was built on June 25th, 1964 and shipped to south Texas (Houston/San Antonio). The color was Turquoise on the bottom and blue white on top. The interior was Como green. Not exactly the color combination I was hoping for. Needless to say it won't be going back to the stock colors. I'm not sure about the exterior color yet, but I'm thinking of going with a tan for the interior. Anyway, here's a picture of the original color… Continue

Installed that rehab single port motor for my truck. It fired up once I changed out the faulty fuel pump. Won't idle though...think it is due to the idle jet. Everything else checks out.
Anyone have a 65g Solex idle jet laying around? I have one on order but it isn't due to arrive till 30 Nov. That is the projected date of shipping them away.

This is A big THANK YOU to Feazy and Rob both of whom have gone above and beyond. The two of them trailered 90% of the parts down to Dade City and worked all weekend selling them to the VW entusiasts at Bug Jam. Many parts where sold and much money was made. So Great Job and thanks again to Feazy and Rob and OZZY for helping with the loading.

I wanted to say thanks again to Mark Tucker for "saving" the 1 1/2 quart sump I bought at the Pcola show. The thing looked awful, full of gunk (and some metal). Mark blasted the thing clean, and coated it for me...ready to bolt on. Thanks again Mark; looks great!
