The Featured Car section is to highlight a club member's car. We will accept any aircooled VW regardless of condition. We want to see all of your works in progress and learn more about them. Show off all that hard work by submitting your VW pics and detailed info on your car. Before and after pics are a plus. Add any stories that go along with the pics. We've had this 59 Rag for two years now. I bought it off a Samba ad in Abq, NM. It spent 9 months off the streets getting it's "makeover" It has a 1776 cc motor w/Weber Progressive Carb (going back to the dual Del's in a couple of weeks), headers w/ Empi Fat Boy exhaust, adjustable beam, Empi 5-spokes (135's front, 205's in back). I did most of the work myself (first time doing body work...it shows :) ).
My good friend Jack Quaif in Clovis, NM provided the shop, knowledge, and a lot of help to this project. My wife, Kelly, provided me with the access to the funds.
The car had no name until we moved back to Florida in August, when my 8 year old daughter decided to call him "Bugaboo", so it stuck.
