The Featured Car section is to highlight a club member's car. We will accept any aircooled VW regardless of condition. We want to see all of your works in progress and learn more about them. Show off all that hard work by submitting your VW pics and detailed info on your car. Before and after pics are a plus. Add any stories that go along with the pics. I had my first bug when I was 16 years old. It was a dingy yellow 1968 eyesore that could often be found on the side of the road broken down and me walking down the road, gas can in hand. My new bug, a midnight blue 1970, and I have much bigger plans. I bought it on eBay in February 2008 from a man in CA. Since then it's been project after project. I started with a new head-liner and new hardware. Then I had the entire car re-wired. Next, I had to fix up the 1600 engine with chrome and nice, shiny new parts. Lately, I've added all new gauges, new tires and rims, lowered the front end (thanks Ray!), added disc brakes, and new carpet. Future plans include new upholstery for the seats and door panels, a new paint job, and a replacing the motor for a bad-ass one. I could not have done a lot of this without the support of the club and especially without Ray's help! He is awesomely talented and generous too. Thanks for everything!
